text-based cycles.
The goal here is to post on interesting phenomenon, projects, and conceptions of cycling that are related to the everyday practice of cycling in both urban and non-urban spaces.
Related themes will also be considered: 1) pedestrianism, 2) transit, 3) art, 4) anti-art, 5) commutism, 6) automobility (Urry), 7) bike activism & its practices.

There are no blogs that take up both the practical and current state of everyday cycling (in America) and consider this state as part of a larger field of cultural production and theory that has engaged with or commented on the bicycle. The posts on this blog will be attempts at such a synthesis.
